Hi, I am Robert Wei, founder of Focus to Thrive, a youth-led organization aiming to advocate and empower teens and ADHD youth.
In a world overflowing with information and misinformation, I see the injustice of a lack of resources and awareness around youth focus and mental well-being. As a teenager, I have faced focus challenges, emotional instability, and the natural hurdles of a developing brain. Over time, I turned to online resources and books to develop strategies that helped me overcome these challenges.
By following routines, using planners and digital reminders to stay organized, and practicing mindfulness techniques, I improved my focus and emotional regulation. Through these experiences, I realized that with a growth mindset and perseverance, these skills can be learned and mastered. This experience inspired me to launch "Focus to Thrive" to help more people.
Worldwide, around 2% to 5% of adults experience ADHD symptoms such as inattention, hyperactivity, and impulsivity. Diagnose among teenagers keep increasing. Currently, there is a noticeable gap in accessible peer support groups specifically tailored to teens. I believe that while external support is vital, empowering young people to take responsibility for their own challenges is key to thriving.
Please share our mission with others and help expand our impact by connecting us with schools, organizations, and ADHD communities. We look forward to working with many of you in the coming years to empower youth, foster inclusive communities, and create sustainable solutions that address focus and mental well-being challenges.
